Decorative Wood: Learn how to use natural accents to jazz up your home.
by: Heather B. Hayes, Country's Best Homes

Wood as a decorative medium can generally be broken down into three categories: carvings, burls and bark.

Experts recommend a couple of strategies when planning your wood décor:
  1. Don’t overdo it. Have a focal point and everything else is to complement it.
  2. Budget for your décor. Carvings, character logs and custom staircases, in particular, are not cheap, so homeowners should take care to budget for items that have special allure for them.

We talked with a number of log home companies, but with StoneMill, we got exactly what we wanted and needed….stability, knowledgeable, professional employees, great plans to work from, flexibility and affordability. In addition, StoneMill worked with us on our time schedule, based on what was right for us, without the “hard sell” tactics of other companies. We can say nothing but positive about the entire crew at StoneMill Log Homes.
