Checking Your Web Browser Configuration

This web page checks your current web browser configuration and tells you if you need to make any changes.

Cookies are small packets of information stored on your device and is shared between the browser and the web server.  We use them so that after you register, a cookie containing only your name and email address is stored on your device. We store the cookie as a convenience to you so that you do not have to re-register each time you wish to access the Member Area. Without the cookie being set, you will have to re-register each time.

Also, if you are using a PC "Cleaner" program like "CC Cleaner", "Disk Cleaner", "Better Privacy", and others. you will also have to re-register to the StoneMill Member Area unless you exempt the stonemill.com domain from removing the Stonemill Member Area cookie.

Below are the instructions for enabling cookies:

  • On the "Tools" menu, select "Internet Options".
  • Then select the "Privacy" tab.
  • Click the "Advanced" button.
  • Click the "Default" button.
  • Check the "Override automatic cookie handling" box.
  • Under "First-party Cookies", select "Accept".
  • Under "Third-party Cookies", select "Accept".
  • Check the "Always allow session cookies" box.
  • Click the "OK" button.
    Firefox
  • On the "Tools" menu, select "Options".
  • Select the "Privacy" icon from the left panel.
  • Under the "Cookies" submenu for 1.x and 2.x, otherwise check the box corresponding to "Accept cookies from sites".
  • Click the "OK" button.
    Chrome
  • Click on the wrench in the toolbar, select "Preferences".
  • Click "Show Advanced Settings...", then under Privacy click the "Content Settings" button.
  • Under "Cookies" Check "Allow local data to be set" for cookies.
  • Click the "OK" button.
    Safari
  • Click on the picture of the Gear or on the "Edit" menu, select "Preferences".
